Your education is an ongoing experience.
Some get off to a rocky start.
What is learned in school teaches only the most basic skills at best and often not even that. Further education in colleges or universities is the traditional next step.
For some it is socially obligatory, what the family always does. If the family is rich there may be no pressing need to succeed and the time may easily be wasted. For others it may be an opportunity denied to the parents and there may be a lot of financial pressure.
Poor choices.
Sometimes there is little or bad guidance about what and where to study.
There is generally a choice between learning what you are interested in and learning what will enable high earnings.
Society is very selective in what it rewards and you may have difficult choices to make. You might decide on a career to give you an income, then study what really interests you in your spare time. If you are lucky, you might find some way of combining the two.
Whatever the background you may feel that more education would be worthwhile. Almost certainly you would be correct.
But there are many ways to learn.
Whatever you do, as long as you don't keep making the same mistakes then you are learning. But learning the hard way from many mistakes can be more expensive than a formal education and is unlikely to give you a framed diploma!
Anyone can make mistakes, the trick is to learn from them. Even better, learn from the mistakes of others! Get some training.
Education can be expensive but a well-chosen education can be a good investment that pays for itself many times over in many ways.
Education can take many forms. Here are some:
